Bible Monday 8/22: Almost

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 121:1-8. Verse 4, in that our God never sleeps, what specific encouragement can I take from that, including for sleep issues of my own?

I Kings 22:1-53. King Ahab dies in dishonor, his people like scattered sheep (verse 17). Is my church clear that there is no political salvation?

Acts 26:19-32. Verses 28 and 29, whom do I know that has reached the point of being an “almost Christian”? How can I help that person take the final step and decide for Christ?

Mark 15:1-15. Verses 11-14, why did the mob feel they would be better off with Jesus gotten rid of? Does that same ugly impulse ever find a foothold or echo in me?
