Bible Wednesday 9/21: Renewed Day by Day

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 56:1-13. Verse 8, during this present chapter in my life, what wanderings has God recorded in his book? What tears has he kept in his bottle? What am I praying he will do about all that?

Job 22:1-30. Verse 21 KJV, related, in what specific way am I lacking peace right now? What can I do to become better acquainted with God today, and so gain more peace?

II Corinthians 4:7-18. Verse 10, by what attitudes and actions can I build this day around both the death of Jesus and the life of Jesus?

Luke 8:11-15. What specific word from God shall I guard, tend, and cultivate in myself today, so that it bears fruit—and what kind of fruit?
