Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 66:1-20. Verse 16, what God has done for my soul. How would I express this in a minute or two? Who needs to hear this declaration from me?
Genesis 27:1-46. Jacob defrauds his father and brother. What unfinished business within my family awaits resolution, with God’s help? Action point?
Malachi 1:1-8. Verse 6, priests offending God. Are there things done or not done at my church that tend to displease the Lord?
Matthew 9:14-17. Verse 15, if Jesus is the bridegroom, espoused to individual believers and the whole church, what attitudes and actions does that require from me today?
