Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 69:1-36. Verse 13 KJV, acceptable time. When have I been shown that God’s timing is better than mine? Present application?
Genesis 26:1-35. Verses 2 and 24, God twice appears to Isaac. What qualities can I be cultivating in myself in order to have clearer and more frequent communication with God?
Hebrews 12:18-29. Verse 28, accepting God’s invitation to an unshakable kingdom, how can I expect today will be different for me? What’s asked of me in return?
Matthew 9:9-13. Verse 13, if God is most pleased by my doing acts of mercy, how shall I specifically go about obeying that today?
