Bible Sunday 12/3: Mary Says Yes

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 84:1-12. Verse 10, what qualities does God require of me as one of his doorkeepers? How can I express those qualities today?

Esther 5:1-14. Thus far in the story, how have we seen God answering the prayers of Mordecai and Esther? When has a good thing happened to me—apparently by chance—with God’s unseen hand behind it?

Revelation 14:1-13. Verse 13, blessed are those who die in the Lord. Who that has died in the past year shall I now remember with love, gratitude, and reverence?

Luke 1:26-38. Gabriel tells Mary of her holy son Jesus. Verse 38 has been called the most important “yes” that any human being ever spoke. Is there something God is waiting for me to say yes or no to, right now?
