Bible Thursday 11/30: Available to Jesus

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-40. Verses 5-7, what do I want the future generations in my family to know about how I walked with God? How does that translate into the things I ought to do right now, today?

Esther 2:1-23. Related, what qualities of character, divinely endowed on Esther and Mordecai, should I seek to express for the glory of God?

John 1:35-42. Related again, what was it in the makeup of Andrew that equipped him to become one of the very first Christians and a man I should emulate?

John 6:1-14. Same question again as we see Andrew, to his own surprise, being used by Jesus to help feed the five thousand.
