Bible Wednesday 5/24: The Guide We Need

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 63:1-11. Verse 1 KJV, how can today’s world be spiritually likened to a dry and thirsty land? What can God do for my thirsty soul that the world cannot do?

Leviticus 6:1-30. Still more of God’s instructions for sin offerings. Is the sin problem of all humankind given the weight in my church and in my own daily walk that Jesus wants it to have?

Ruth 1:1-22. Verses 15-17, by what actions and attitudes can I witness for God today as Naomi did—so winsomely that others will leave their old beliefs and form a new belief in Him?

John 16:1-15. The Holy Spirit comes in order that we may know Jesus better. What question about Jesus do I most want the Spirit to answer and unfold for me today?
