Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 25, God’s deeper purpose in provoking the Egyptians to hate the Israelites. What adversity I’m now facing may conceal His deeper purpose? What shall I therefore do?
Leviticus 22:1-33. God’s regulations for the holy things to be used in worshipping him. Holy things for Christians are few or none, according to denomination. Are we thus better off?
Acts 6:8-7:8. Jewish leaders charge Stephen with saying Jesus would destroy what they held dear. Many today fear Jesus for the same reason. How would I reply if asked by an honest young doubter?
John 19:38-42. Nicodemus, once a doubter himself, now bravely and reverently helps bury Jesus. Whom do I know that is currently walking the same road from doubt to faith and needs a hand from me?
