Bible Saturday 7/1: On a Tear

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 148:1-14. What if I went on a tear today, like the psalmist here, praising God for everything I see or think of? How might my experience change if I do this?

Numbers 14:1-45. God sentences the unfaithful Israelites to 40 years in the wilderness. When have I brought hard times upon myself by letting fear and doubt distract me from God’s promises? Present application?

Acts 11:19-30. Verse 26, the first to be called Christians. To whom can I bring encouragement and hope one day soon by telling them that I am a Christian and why?

Mark 4:26-34. Related, would I be less hesitant about sharing my faith if I approached it as giving that person not the huge mustard tree, but just the tiny (yet potent) mustard seed?
