Bible Sunday 6/25: Battle Plan

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 134:1-3. Verse 1, serving the Lord by night. What steps can I take to be more of a 24/7 disciple, not just one who checks in with God a few times each day or each week?

Numbers 8:1-26. God ordains the Levites to be set apart for him. As best I can tell, what job description, unique to my gifts, has God marked out for me in his kingdom here and now?

Acts 11:1-18. Verse 17, not daring to withstand God. Searching my heart and surveying my recent experience, do I find that I am in any way setting my will against His? Action point?

Mark 3:20-27. Verse 27, Christ binds the strong man. What is Satan’s intent right now for me, my family, my church and community? What is Jesus’ battle plan to overcome that? My assignment today?
