Bible Saturday 6/24: Dayspring

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 131:1-3. Verse 2, what are some childlike qualities I can ask God to bring out in me today, so that I’m better able to trust him and serve him?

Numbers 7:1-89. Moses’ detailed record of the 12 tribes’ offerings to God. What is my offering to God today? Why does it matter?

Luke 1:59-66. Naming of John the Baptist. What attributes of God did he specially endow upon me, giving rise to the secret name by which I’m cherished in heaven? Action point for today?

Luke 1:67-80. John’s father prophesies of his ministry. Verse 77, how does the salvation I have in Jesus make a difference for me in the here and now, this very day, as well as eternity?
