Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 81:1-16. Verse 10, what attitudes and actions are required today for me to open my mouth wide and have God fill it with his goodness?
Hosea 10:1-15. Verses 12 and 13, spiritually considered, what kind of crop am I reaping at present from seeds I sowed earlier? What seeds should I be planting now, for a crop to glorify God in due time?
Acts 22:30-23:11. Verse 11, when has God given me a quiet message of assurance at an hour of great need? What encouraging word do I need to hear from him today?
Mark 13:1-13. Verses 9-11, what unexpected opportunity might the Father now be preparing for me to witness for his Son Jesus as never before? How shall I prepare?
