Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 44:1-26. Verse 3, what good thing has God given me or done for me, that I sometimes ungratefully take credit for, as if it were all my own doing?
Judges 17:1-13. Without realizing it, have I been treating something as an idol, an object of worship, a false god?
II Corinthians 12:1-13. Paul’s thorn, not removed by prayer. What is God using at present to perfect his strength in my weakness (verse 10)?
Luke 8:40-56. Spiritually understood, what would be for me the equivalent of just touching the edge of Jesus’ robe—receiving what he has for me in the humblest way, not asking a lot?
