Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 38:1-22. Verses 11-15. When have I felt lonely, abandoned, or misunderstood? How did God show up? Application to present needs?
Isaiah 18:1-7. Verses 3 and 4, God’s banner, God’s trumpet, God’s weather, God’s rest. How can I deceive myself that these are less important than fleeting political news or economic trends?
Revelation 1:1-8. What is God expecting of me today as a king and priest for him, under King Jesus?
Luke 19:28-48. Verse 46, how can I help make my church more truly a house of prayer, and never a place where God is robbed of his glory (den of thieves)?
