Bible Sunday 2/11: Restraining Order

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 15, touch not My anointed. For what person, beset with what troubles from the enemy, shall I invoke God’s protective command today? How will that person sense it?

Jeremiah 9:1-26. Verses 23 and 24, what false reasons for saying “good for me” am I commanded by God to avoid? What valid reason am I offered for saying “good for me”?

Romans 3:9-20. Related, in what subtle ways may I be tempted today to think myself morally or spiritually to others? By what attitudes and actions shall I counter this?

Matthew 13:31-35. Verse 33, Jesus likens his kingdom to leaven or yeast. How does this impact everything I will think, say, and do today?
