Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 95:1-11. Verse 8, honestly examining myself, where do I find any hardness of heart, resisting the seed Jesus wants to sow there? What prayer shall I lift up today to plow or soften this?
Jeremiah 6:1-30. Verse 13, covetousness and falsity. How does the worldly mind of today honor these and dishonor God? In what way am I susceptible to this fog of lies? Action point?
Romans 2:1-16. Where in my walk of life—if anywhere—is there a gap between my hearing of God’s commands and my doing of God’s commands?
Matthew 13:10-17. Verse 11, by what evidence—if any—would people I interact with recognize that Jesus has taught me the mysteries of his kingdom?
