Bible Tuesday 2/13: Not Guilty

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verse 20, what is my greatest need today for God’s healing or God’s deliverance? What specific word of God shall I rely on to accomplish that?

Jeremiah 11:1-23. Verse 13, Judah brought low by the chaos of clashing belief systems. How is the same thing manifest in our country today? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Romans 4:1-12. God gave Abraham blessings he didn’t earn and spared him pains he deserved. What is my own testimony of faith and grace? Who should I be telling about that, today or one day soon?

Matthew 13:44-52. Verse 46, related, what is my own story of finding, and obtaining, the pearl of great price? Or have I perhaps not yet found it… or stopping looking… and with what consequences?
