Bible Sunday 3/31: He is Risen

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

PPsalms 118:1-29. Verse 17, by what thoughts and actions, through God’s grace, can I become a little less dead and a little more alive on this Resurrection Day?

Song of Solomon 1:1-17. Introducing the king and his beloved with a flood of sublime physical impressions. Why am I better off with an Easter faith that is not just propositional, but relational and experiential?

Matthew 28:1-10. Verses 5 and 10, the risen Lord Jesus tells us to fear not, be not afraid. Obeying this, how can I expect my life to be different and better in coming days and weeks?

Matthew 28:11-15. What are some of the most common and damaging lies that the world tells about Jesus Christ and me as his disciple? Refuting them, how am rewarded?
