Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 113:1-9. Verse 6, God humbles himself for our sake. What’s going on in my life right now that needs his close personal attention?
Ezekiel 10:1-22. Mystical vision of cherubim with wings, eyes, faces, wheels, fire, and a throne. Using spiritual sight, couldn’t I see much the same all around me right now? If yes, isn’t my trust in God increased?
I Corinthians 7:1-9. Relationships of men and women, one size doesn’t fit all. Recognizing that God’s gifts differ and are individual (verse 7), wouldn’t we as Christians increase our healing influence in the world?
John 3:9-21. Do I know someone who is in the position of Nicodemus, drawn to Jesus yet unwilling to commit? How can I help that person take the next step?
