Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 65:1-13. Verse 2, how do I know that God hears my prayers? Do others recognize me as a person who practices prayer, a ready prayer partner? Action point for today?
Ezekiel 48:1-35. Exactness of God’s land grants to the twelve tribes. What need am I facing right now, where God’s attention to meticulous detail is needed? Can I be in any doubt he will show up for me?
3 John 1-14. Verses 3 and 4, walk in truth. What specific attitudes and actions does this require of me today?
John 17:1-10. Verse 3, having gained life eternal by knowing God and his Christ, to what use shall I put it today? This year? For the rest of my earthly days?
