Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 55:1-23. Verses 6-8, wishing for wings. From God and with God, what do I have that is far better? How can I gain access to it today?
Leviticus 6:14-30. What is my offering to the Lord today? Need I make sure it is purposely and explicitly given, or is it implicitly understood between God and me?
John 15:9-17. Verse 12, what is the closest I have ever come to loving another as Jesus loves me, sacrificially and selflessly? Why do I usually fall short? How and for whom can I stretch toward that high standard today?
