Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 98:1-9. Verse 2, what God shows the heathen. Going about my life today, how can I show—not tell—to unbelievers a glimpse of the righteousness of God?
Leviticus 22:1-33. Rules for holiness in every detail of divine worship. Have I become too casual about the things of God? What’s at stake? Action point for today?
Acts 7:54-8:3. Stoning of Stephen. What did Saul (later called Paul) see and hear that day which would start to haunt him with the gospel before long? Who needs to hear the gospel from me this summer?
Mark 1:29-39. Verse 35, what can I learn from Jesus’ pattern of prayer that would keep me closer to the Father, Son, and Spirit day by day?
