Bible Monday 9/2: Can I Get a Witness?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 6:1-10. Verse 2, what would God’s mercy specifically look like, shed over my life today? How can I put myself in position to receive that?

II Kings 3:1-27. Advised by Elisha, the allied armies of Judah and Israel defeat the Moabites. Verse 11, what bad situation am I facing right now that could turn around I flip the script with “But God”?-

Job 16:1-22. Verse 17, my prayer is pure. Verse 19, my witness is in heaven. When have I been driven to Jesus as a last resort, with all earthly hope exhausted?

Luke 5:27-32. Jesus the Great Physician for all ills of body and soul. What do I need from him today?
