Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 66:1-20. Verse 16, today as I declare what God has done for my soul, who particularly needs to hear that testimony from me?-
Job 35:1-16. Elihu again warns Job against spiritual pride. Was there ever a time when I arrogantly assumed—probably without admitting it to myself—that I knew better than God? What did I learn?
II Corinthians 1:12-24. Verse 24, who needs my help today, in experiencing more fully the joy of the Lord?
Luke 9:37-42. Do I know someone that is a mother or father agonizing right now over their sick child—and that situation cries out for the intervention of Jesus the Great Physician?
