Bible Wednesday 9/25: Run to Him

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 69:1-36. Verse 9, observing me this week, would a stranger conclude that I have a zeal for God? Or if not that, what am I zealous for, day by day? Action point?

Job 34:1-37. Elihu charges Job with spiritual pride and rebellion against God. How can I be more humble, more meek, more teachable, more contrite toward the Almighty today than I was yesterday?

II Corinthians 1:1-11. Verse 4, who is cast down and hurting today, needing to receive from me some of the comfort I have received from God?

Luke 9:28-36. Transfiguration of our Lord. If I could see and hear some of what Moses and Elijah were discussing with Jesus about the Cross, how would it help me to bless others in the activities of this day?
