Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 78:41. Verses 49, 50, 58, God’s anger and wrath come down upon Israel. When have I experienced this? What did I learn? Present application?
Job 40:1-24. Verse 14, God presses Job to admit he can’t save himself. Have I sometimes fallen into this fallacy?
II Corinthians 5:11-21. Verse 17, in what specific ways have I become a new creature in Christ? Verse 20, how can I conduct myself today as an ambassador of Christ?
Luke 10:13-16. Jesus warns not just individuals but communities, whole towns, they face a choice between heaven and hell. What does that look like right here in my community, right now today?
