Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 37:1-40. In my daily thoughts and actions, what does the choice between righteousness and wickedness took like? Am I on my own in so choosing, or is God there to help me?
Genesis 15:1-21. Verses 4-6, is there something very dear to me, my heart’s desire, for which at present I’m having to take God’s word—to trust and believe him without material evidence?
Romans 4:1-12. What is the clearest instance of God’’s grace that I’ve ever experienced? Application to present needs?
Matthew 8:28-34. Where is the activity of Satan and his demons evident to me today? How shall I apply to Jesus to vanquish that?
