Bible Friday 2/28: The World is Watching

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 144:1-15. Verse 9, why does God want me to sing him a new song today? How can I put newness into my prayers and my praise this morning?

Hosea 9:1-17. Verse 10, what is the harvest of fruit that God wants from my church, as if we were his patiently tended grapevine or fig tree? How are we doing so far? My role?

Romans 8:12-25. Verse 15, God admits me to intimacy with him, crying “Abba” or “Daddy” or “Papa.” How does this meet a specific need in my life today?

Matthew 5:13-20. During the next few weeks, from now to Easter, what particular opportunity is Jesus giving me to be salt and light for Him? First step today?
