Bible Saturday 2/22: Alive to God

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 123:1-4. How will today be different if I lift my eyes up to behold God’s goodness, rather than gazing down to dwell on my troubles?

Hosea 3:1-5. God commands the prophet to learn what love means by patient devotion to someone selfish and ungrateful. How can I apply this today?

Romans 6:1-11. What were the sinful ways from which I was cleansed when crucified with Christ? What are the attributes that now define me as I walk with Him in newness of life?

Matthew 19:23-30. Jesus promises the sacrifices we make to follow Him will be repaid 100:1. Has this been true for me so far? Will my repayment be measured in dollars, or what—?
