Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 67:1-7. Verse 2, when we ask God for “saving health,” what does that mean in addition to bodily well-being? What specific need am I bringing to God in prayer today?
Proverbs 21:1-31. Verse 2, what important plan or purpose am I now undertaking, for which a pause to seek God’s will is needed?
I Corinthians 1:18-31. Verses 23-25, when has experience shown me that Christ crucified is better than all the world’s wisdom and knowledge? Application to present needs?
Matthew 18:15-20. Verses 19 and 20, how can I more fully get the benefit of Jesus’ promise to be present when we gather in his name? Who are my most trusted prayer partners?
