Bible Thursday 3/27: Seventy Times Seven

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 68:1-35. Verses 5 and 6, is there a family in crisis today, to whom I could help bring God’s comfort and care?

Proverbs 22:1-29. Verse 28, what are some ancient landmarks that need defending right now in my church, my community, and my country? How can I do more for this urgent cause?

I Corinthians 2:1-16. Taking up Jesus Christ crucified as the center point of all knowledge worth having and all work worth doing. Is this too lofty for me? How can I bring it down to earth for today’s demands?

Matthew 18:21-35. Whose forgiveness should I be asking for today? Or who needs to receive my forgiveness? What am I waiting for?
