Bible Wednesday 4/9: Come, Holy Spirit

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 94:1-23. Verses 7-13, when have I excused my sin by claiming God won’t know or won’t care? Who was harmed? Application to present needs?

Zechariah 4:1- 14. Verse 6, what challenge am I facing that human power can’t accomplish, but which can only be met by the Spirit of God? How shall I put myself in a position today to see the Spirit move?

I Corinthians 8:1-13. Verses 9-12, who is a person less mature in the faith than I am—but for whom Christ died as much as he did for me—that I can help along today with a gentle and patient friendliness?

John 11:1-16. When have I learned by a hard lesson that Jesus’ sense of tact and timing is better than mine? Application to present needs?
