Bible Tuesday 4/1: Says the Fool

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 82:1-8. Verses 3 and 4, what is God moving me to do for the poor today?

Proverbs 27:1-27. Verses 6, 10, 17, who is a good enough friend to tell me honestly when I’m wrong? How can I grow into closer relationship with that person—for the glory of God?

I Corinthians 5:9-13. Related, thinking about it from the opposite side, who exercises a degrading or godless influence over me—whether in person or through media—which I should sharply break off?

Matthew 22:15-22. Related again, have I allowed the overheated political atmosphere of last year and this year to warp my attention too much toward Caesar (both parties) and away from the majesty of King Jesus?
