Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 48:1-14. Could I describe the features and feel of the city of God to an inquiring friend, a non-believer, as clearly as I could describe the city where I live?
Deuteronomy 26:1-19. Verses 17-18, a sort of handshake between God and his people. What more should I be doing, my family be doing, my church be doing, to keep up our end of this?
Hebrews 10:19-25. Verse 25, what influences today work against believers assembling themselves together? How do these operate on me? Action point?
Matthew 8:1-4. What opportunity might I have today for showing the kind of radical, fearless love that Jesus showed in laying a hand on this shunned outcast?
