Bible Friday 5/3: True Worship

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 135:1-21. Verse 9, if allegorically Egypt stands for any oppression and Pharaoh stands for any oppressor, what do I need God to rescue me from today?

Exodus 5:1-23. When did it seem God was only letting a bad situation get worse, the more I prayed about it? What did I learn? Present application?

I Peter 4:1-11. Verse 9, what is hospitality besides opening my house to guests? How did Jesus exemplify hospitality? What’s one step I can take to express more of this virtue?

John 4:15-26. Verses 22-24, what is worship besides singing in church? What does truth have to do with it? What are some acts and attitudes of worship I can take with me all day today?
