Bible Wednesday 5/1: Life on Fire

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 14:1-7. Verse 1, atheism proclaimed. Going though this day, how many blatant denials of God can I notice in my surroundings? What practical steps can I take to counter these?

Exodus 3:1-22. Verse 14, related question, observing carefully, how many overlooked instances of God saying “I AM” can I notice around me today? What strength and encouragement can I take from these?

Acts 7:30-36. What’s the closest thing to a burning bush experience I’ve ever had? To benefit from the holiness of that, what mental “shoes” do I need to take off today?

John 3:22-36. Verse 30, related question, what is there about me that will have to decrease, in order for Jesus to increase in my life?
