Bible Thursday 10/29: Trust the True King

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 146:1-10. Verses 3-5, with the election upon us, in what way am I attributing too much importance, positive or negative, to “princes” and too little to God?

Isaiah 3:1-26. Related question, what’s displeasing to God about the values and customs of America today, many Christians included? What if he decides we need a further time of trial? Prayer point?

James 4:7-17. Verse 7, what are some ways I am particularly vulnerable to Satan? How can I enlist God’s protection for these?

Luke 15:1-7. When have I seen Jesus the Good Shepherd leave the 99 sheep to seek and save a lost one? For whom shall I now pray that such a rescue will occur?
