Bible Saturday 10/17: Wall Builders

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:1-48. Verse 11, what word of God in Scripture shall I dwell upon today, to keep from displeasing him in any way?

Nehemiah 4:1-23. Verse 17, symbolically, what’s recommended here for my spiritual posture today, a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other?

Galatians 4:21-31. Verse 14, what is God’s covenant with me, as I understand it—what does he offer me and require of me? What freedom does he desire me to have, that I am not yet experiencing?

Luke 12:35-40. What’s something practical I can do today to be better prepared than I was yesterday for the unexpected summons from Jesus?
