Bible Wednesday 4/15: Sacrificed for Us

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. With God’s help, what have I and my family been through, what has our country been through, that was worse than this pandemic? How does that change the way I approach today?

Ezekiel 5:1-17. What warnings of “repent or else” can we spiritually discern in current events? What is my church doing about it? My role?

I Corinthians 5:1-8. Verses 6-8, the Lamb of God died to rid us of the old leaven. How does Christ crucified and risen make possible a new “active ingredient” in the person I am and the way I live? First step today?

John 20:1-10. Verse 7, who carefully folded the burial shroud that had been on Jesus’ face? How would I answer a sincere inquirer asking what’s my evidence for believing in the actual Resurrection?
