Bible Sunday 5/24: I Am the Vine

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 118:1-29. Verse 24, why is it a good and joyous thing that God gave me this very day, not some day in the future or the past, in which to love and serve him?

Ezekiel 44:1-31. Verse 23 KJV, for me as a Christian, what is the difference between holy and profane, clean and unclean? Does it matter?

Acts 1:15-26. Verse 22, what opportunity can I find today to bear witness of Christ crucified and risen? How can the pandemic further that?

John 15:1-8. What fruit have I borne this spring during the Covid crisis, as a branch of Jesus the Vine? How can I be still more fruitful for him this summer?
