Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 23:1-6. In what specific ways is God shepherding me and my family during this pandemic? What sheeplike qualities are required of us in return?
Ezekiel 30:1-26. Verses 8, 19, and 25, the Lord unmistakably making himself known. How is the crisis forcing millions to look closer at God? What part can I play this week?
1 Corinthians 12:12-19. Comparing my church to the body of a person, what is my specific usefulness or value-added to the overall mission? How can I stretch that, take it higher?
John 7:25-36. Verses 27-30, when Jesus returns, with some so-called Christians rejecting him, what would it take for me to accept him? How can I start getting ready today?
