Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 107:1-43. Verse 2 KJV, what have I to say about my experience of God’s redeeming love? Who especially needs to hear this from me? Action point?
Genesis 44:1-34. Judah stands in the gap for Benjamin. When have I seen an example of sacrificial love, someone stepping in to spare a friend or relative? Application to my present situation?
Romans 3:19-26. What is the blood of Christ to me? All-important or quite important or not that important? Is my answer pleasing to God? What difference does it really make in the 24 hours of today?
Matthew 12:43-50. Verse 50, what specific tests of doing God’s will, or not, will I face today? What benefits can I count on today from being considered a brother or sister of Jesus?
