Bible Thursday 2/11: House Divided

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 97:1-12. Verse 12 KJV, what do I gain by thanking God for his holiness, which from my mortal perspective is unattainable, almost unimaginable, and somewhat fearsome?

Genesis 42:1-38. Verses 21 and 28, when has a wrongful act haunted me for years, as it did Joseph’s brothers? How did God show up? Application for me today?

Romans 3:1-8. Verse 2, the Jews as custodians of God’s truth through the centuries. How am I benefitted by the Old Testament, no less than the New, in following Jesus?

Matthew 12:22-30. What made the Pharisees of Jesus’ time, or the atheists of today, think he was an evil agent of Satan? As our world becomes more tense, how can I better arm myself for spiritual warfare?
