Bible Tuesday 5/10: Through the Red Sea

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 22:1-31. Verses 6 and 9, when have I felt more like a worm than a human being? What did I learn? What is God’s word of assurance to me at such a dark hour of discouragement?

Ezekiel 25:1-17. God’s anger rests not only on faithless Israel but also on the neighbors who were hateful to her. Am I clear that God’s holiness exalts him far above any favoritism to persons, groups, or nations?

I Corinthians 10:1-13. Verse 10, why is murmuring offensive to God? In what way do I tend to murmur? What is God’s antidote?

John 6:41-51. Verse 44, if a friend asked me how it came about that the Father drew me to follow Jesus, what would I tell him?
