Bible Wednesday 7/27: Declare

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 66:1-20. Verse 16 KJV, what has God done for my soul? To whom shall I declare it today? Have I the vocabulary to do this in winsome, understandable terms?

II Samuel 20:1-26. Joab bloodily puts down Sheba’s rebellion. From then to now, why does violence in human history persist or even worsen? Where is God’s hand in all this?

Acts 6:1-12. Paul takes on Timothy as a son in the faith. Outside my own family, who has most helpfully mentored me in the Christian life?

Mark 10:1-12. Does my church take divorce as seriously as Jesus did?
