Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 104:1-35. Verses 23 and 24, my work and God’s work. What can I specifically do to get them better aligned during all my waking hours today?
Genesis 41:1-57. Joseph’s meteoric rise from prisoner to premier. What is the greatest surprise or reversal God has ever brought about in my life? Application for today?
Romans 3:9-18. The depravity of all. Is this too dark a picture of the human condition, as I see it? Does this describe what I know of my innermost self, or am I better than this? Action point?
Matthew 12:22-32. Verse 24, how does the worldly mind even today cast Jesus as a doer of evil, not good? What is my response in word and deed?
