Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 116:1-19. Verse 15, who is someone dear to me that has died, whom I can lovingly and gratefully enfold in my prayers today?
Genesis 45:1-28. Verse 5, when have I seen God bring a good and merciful outcome from a bad and unjust situation? Present application for today?
Romans 5:12-21. Verses 14 and 15, what heritage from Adam, who rebelled against God and forfeited paradise, can I recognize in my own attitudes and actions? What has Jesus done to purge me of that?
Matthew 13:1-9. What would it look like for God’s word to produce a 100 to 1 harvest in my life this year?
