Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 10:1-18. Verse 12, forget not the humble. How can I express today more of the humility that God delights in?
Deuteronomy 3:1-29. Verse 22, what battle am I facing right now, in which I will cry out to God to fight for me—since fighting alone I can’t prevail?
Isaiah 53:1-7. Thinking about what it cost Jesus to be the Lamb of God and to die so that I might live, how can I thank him today?
John 1:29-34. Verse 33, by what attitudes and actions on my part—without speaking of it—might it be evident to others today that I am in fellowship with Jesus and have received his Holy Spirit baptism?
