Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:129-176. Verses 136 and 158, where do I see God defied, denied, or disregarded in everyday life? What can I do about it?
Zephaniah 3:1-20. Verse 13, God’s remnant. What opportunity and what obligation do I have as one of this faithful few? Action point for today?
Romans 7:1-12. Verse 4, in what way is my relationship with Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, similar to a marriage covenant? What does it require of me?
Matthew 13:44-52. The hidden treasure and the supreme pearl. What price have I paid for entrance to the kingdom of heaven? What further cost may there be? How much would be too much?
