Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:89-128. Verses 98-100, what do I get from knowing and obeying God that no amount of worldly wisdom can give me?
Genesis 50:1-26. Verse 20, when have I seen God use the designs of evil as an occasion to manifest his goodness? Present application?
Zephaniah 2:1-15. Verse 3, by what attitudes and actions can I align myself with God’s righteousness today? With his meekness? What am I asking him to hide me from?
Matthew 13:36-43. These weeds that Jesus will cast out of his kingdom and burn, are they persons or are they sins attaching to persons? What does he want me to do about the weeds?
